The Argaty Woodland Hide

We are delighted to unveil our spectacular new Woodland Hide.

With ground and higher level viewing hatches and a range of natural perches, this three-person hide is custom-built for photographers and nature-lovers alike.

It allows an opportunity to see a variety of Scottish wildlife in an attractive, tranquil environment. Regular visitors include red squirrels, jays, nuthatches and tree-creepers.

Red squirrels

For 22 years (and counting) we have provided a safe haven for red kites.

Now we want to help re-establish another iconic native species. Red squirrels are under threat in Scotland due to the spread of non-native grey squirrels, who carry the fatal squirrelpox virus.

In recent times we have shown our commitment to red squirrel conservation, monitoring red and grey populations, building red squirrel nest boxes and installing rope bridges across busy roads.

Last summer we began feeding the reds, providing a balanced diet to help them thrive. Setting up a regular feeding station is the natural culmination of this work.

In line with our conservation commitment, a donation from every Woodland Hide booking will be made to the charity Saving Scotland's Red Squirrels.

Pre-booking required

To coordinate visits and minimise disturbance, the hide will be available only by pre-booking.
